On the 15th April 1945, a Lancaster bomber plummeted out of the sky and into the Warping Drain bank just outside Owston Ferry killing the eight men in board. Until recently, no one has known what happened to cause this or who the eight men were.
A memorial stone to the men lost in this disaster will be dedicated near the crash site on Wednesday 15 April 2020, exactly 75 years on.
If you would like to know more about who these men were and what happened to cause their loss, there is a talk starting at 7.30pm Thursday 12th March in the Coronation Hall, Owston Ferry one night only.
Admission Free.
All welcome to the talk and the dedication Service.
