This is the wedding photograph taken of Sara Frewin and Tom Baker on the 19th September 1908. Sara was born in Owston Ferry in 1881. Her father was the headmaster of the local school. Sarah married Tom at Owston Ferry in a double ceremony with her sister Mabel who would later move to America with her new husband. Tom Baker was a police officer and as such had to move villages every two years. Due to this they have lived in many of the villages on the Isle of Axholme including West Butterwick and Althorpe. They eventually became tired of always moving so Tom left the police service and they settled in Belton. They had three children Muriel, Kathleen and Roland Baker.
